Ferguson resident Mike Arman alleges that his First Amendment rights were violated when he was arrested by embattled police officer Darren Wilson in 2013, and that the subsequent police report was full of falsehoods and exaggerations.
Armon was charged with failing to comply with Wilson’s orders while trying to film the officer approach him on his front lawn of his home. However, it is widely understood that filming a police officer in the line of his work is a First Amendment right.
Despite the valid police report, a Ferguson Police official told The Guardian that the officer in the video isn’t Wilson, a fact that is very hard to conceal in the video.
Meanwhile. a St. Louis County grand jury is still deciding whether Wilson will stand trial after fatally shooting Michael Brown in August. The verdict is expected in the coming days.
