Yes, six bovine fatalities!

Early in the morning on Nov. 4th, an eastern bound Puyuma Express train struck 4 cows that were illegally crossing the rail tracks.

The driver of the express train saw the cows and blared his horn, but couldn’t stop in time.

One of the cows was thrown through the air by the impact and struck a fixture 15 feet up.

Tragically, two of the cows were pregnant and the unborn calves also died.

Some of the nearby residents did say they saw the cows wandering around late the night before, not realizing they’d broken through their fenced enclosure.

Their owner is devastated by the loss of life.
