A 18-year-old female scooter rider, surnamed Huang, ignored an ambulance siren and got T-boned by an ambulance in Yunlin County, Taiwan last Saturday.
The ambulance was transporting a patient to a nursing home when Huang’s scooter, shot across an intersection and got slammed by the ambulance. Her scooter ended up stuck on the front bumper of the ambulance.
Huang was taken to hospital after her older brother arrived at the scene where she was treated for minor injuries.
Fortunately the patient in the ambulance was not in a critical condition.
Police said the ambulance was driving legally with it’s siren on. Strangely, Taiwanese police still said the ambulance driver was partly responsible for the accident despite the reckless riding of Huang.
