On April 2 in the city of Tulsa in Oklahoma, a new police blunder occurred. The questioning turned to tragedy when Robert Bates, a volunteer police officer of 73 years accidentally drew his service weapon instead of his taser to shoot a fugitive held down by other police officers.
While Eric Courtney Harris, an African-American, 44, is trying to sell a weapon lights Brigadier Marion, reinforcements arrive and he fled. One of the officers pursuing the fugitive and floor plate, while Robert Bates pulled the man through use his taser. You can hear Eric Harris screaming in pain and say you shot him, he runs out of breath. But three policemen stand firmly on the ground, without practicing any security measures.
Eric died the same day in a hospital in the city. A new police blunder that makes a lot of noise in the United States, after several controversies surrounding this tragedy, Robert Bates was charged with "negligent homicide".
