"We have created a home product, we’ve given it a name, it’s called Kobanan; it allows people to insure their homes. Kobanan comes with help, because Africans don’t want insurance, but actually want the assistance that comes with it. Your tap breaks, you call a number, someone comes to see you automatically, and so you’re happy, it is much more pleasing than having an insured home. Because it is linked, you’re interested in it, because if you have a problem, your housekeeper or wife calls and someone comes and fixes the problem right away. We understood that people are much more interested in that and when you insure your house, you are happy because the assistance that comes with it is a lot more pleasing than insuring the house itself", says Bernard Abouo.
