Race 2's official film trailer is out and the action-packed thriller feels like the ideal Abbas-Mustan entertainer.
The trailer begins with John Abraham narrating the lines, Badla jitna purana hota hai, utna hi khatarnaak hota hai. Saif is seen in the lead again as Ranveer Singh, who seems to be on the winning streak until John arrives. The trailer says 'betrayal will be survival', what connection this had to what we saw in the trailer? Nothing! The trailer really shows Saif doing some evidently glitchy stunts, and John doing all the best fight work. Why the bad editing? That's for the producers to answer. For instance, there's the scene where Saif arrives parks a Yellow Lamborghini and he walks towards the camera, the car is in the background and a blink-n-miss scene where the Lamborghini changes into the fake stunt car. All that money spent and they couldn't come up with a look-alike Lamborghini. It's evident that the focus of the trailer is on John being the antagonist.
Anil Kapoor will play the witty Inspector Robert D'Costa once again, only this time his arm-candy is Ameesha Patel, who seems to have replaced Sameera Reddy's character. The ladies, Deepika, Jacqueline and Ameesha look gorgeous as ever. The music is pacy and exhilerating enough for a Bollywood action thriller. Ramesh Taurani's second venture in the scene might not look as promising, but the names attached with film might just get it a slack
