Moscow, Maine is a long way from crime-ridden U.S. cities, but they've still got their share of weird, bearded dudes trying to steal your lawn chairs with a machete, as an unnamed Maine woman who was was minding her own business on her own property discovered over the weekend.

Late in the afternoon of Sunday, May 3rd, a dude in a pickup truck drove on to her land, which was clearly marked with a "No Trespassing" sign, and then bizarrely, started loading her lawn chairs into his truck.

An angry exchange followed as the woman tried to get her chairs back, but then things got real. The man grabbed a large machete and started swinging at the homeowner who used a garden hoe to defend herself and then convinced the man to leave by whacking him in the back with the hoe. The machete wielding lawn chair thief, identified as 64-year-old Dwight nathan Hart, was arrested but no one can quite figure out what on earth he was thinking. Hart is currently sitting in the county jail as he didn't have 500 bucks in cash for bail.
