WGNO reporter, Jabari Thomas, caught dramatic footage of a dozen cargo containers and train carriages being blown off elevated tracks in Jefferson Parish, New Orleans during a violent storm.

New Orleans Public Belt Railroad's Nancy Stoltz said that four Union Pacific Railroad cars en route to the Huey P. Long Bridge were blown off the tracks at 10:30 am due to severe weather conditions.

A New Orleans Public Belt statement Monday read, "Due to the severe weather this morning four Union Pacific Railroad railcars derailed and dropped off the Eastbank approach to the Huey P. Long Bridge. The railcars were empty and did not contain any hazardous materials. No leaks and no injuries are reported at this time. Jefferson Parish Police, Fire and other responders are on scene to secure the area."
