An Oregon woman struck her boyfriend in the head with a baseball bat last Wednesday after, she says, she just didn't want to date him anymore, according to a report by the Oregonian.

Haley Fox, 24, met Samuel Campbell, 26, through an online dating website in 2013 and the two soon started a virtual relationship.

Earlier this month, Campbell agreed to move from Alabama to all the way up to Oregon just to live with Fox.

The two met for the first time in person last week at Fox's Salem home.

When the couple sat down to discuss their future over wine, Fox suddenly told Campbell to close his eyes and that she had a surprise for him. That’s when she struck him three times in the head with a baseball bat, fracturing his skull.

The incident broke more than just Campbell’s heart. It left him bloodied and in need of hospitalization and the 26-year-old had to receive staples to his head to fix up his bloody wounds.

Fox is facing assault charges and has been released on bond.
