A Pascagoula, Mississippi mother has sought help online after her daughter's school blamed the disturbing injuries the Kindergarten student came back home with on a run-of-the-mill playground accident.

Lacey Harris has taken to Facebook in search of justice and to crowdfunding website GoFundMe to help finance her injured daughter AvaLynn's treatment.

When Harris sought answers from the institution as to why her daughter came back home with two black eyes, a bloody nose and a face as swollen as a bloated whale, the response she got was, by all reasonably accounts, inadequate.

According to Pascagoula's school district, nothing at all violent led up to AvaLynn's injuries.

Representatives of the district instead put the blame squarely on Ava herself and said that the young girl accidentally hit the ground down while on the school's playground.

Harris, however, contends that her daughter was assaulted by another student.

While on a slide in the school's playground, Ava was allegedly repeatedly kicked in the face by another kid before tumbling off the slide.
