An Arizona game enthusiast was robbed at gunpoint by two men — little did the intruders know, the the entire thing was being streamed live online.
Early Monday morning Nikki Elise and her boyfriend were at home in their Tempe apartment. Elise was playing the popular online battle game Dota 2 and was using the website Twitch to stream her gameplay to viewers across the world.
After hearing a loud noise, Elise's boyfriend went into the next room to check on the couples' cats. After a few moments the video shows Elise quickly leaving the room after hearing loud voices.
According to reports, two gunman broke into their apartment and held them at gunpoint. One went into Elise's bedroom and that's when online viewers noticed the gunman. Several players from across the globe notified police of an apparent armed robbery.
Luckily, one of the webcam viewers was able to provide police with Elise's address. When they arrived, one of the suspects was still in the home. The other fled the scene, getting away with weapons and other valuables. In a Facebook post, the couple said their fast thinking friends may have saved their lives.
