An 11-year-old Pennsylvania boy was shot dead over the weekend by his uncle after the 34-year old man pointed a laser sighted gun at the child's forehead and it accidentally discharged.
Hunter Pedersen was visiting his uncle Chad Olm when he and Olm's son asked to see Olm's gun collection.
Olm then opened up his safe to show the boys his four handguns.
First up, was a Magnum .357 with a scope. Olm told police that as he never left the guns loaded, he felt it was safe to let the boys play with it and pull the trigger.
Next up for the wide-eyed boys was a .22 revolver followed by the 9mm pistol.
Last, but not least, was a Glock 27 .40-caliber handgun with a laser sight.
Olm said he did not check the gun, which had no magazine, as he flashed the laser sight around the room.
Olm then pointed the sight at Pedersen's head, before the boy reached forward for the gun and it discharged with deadly consequences.
The bullet struck the boy in the forehead above an eye. He was already dead when police arrived.
Olm has been charged with criminal homicide.
