An Ipswich teenager with a chainsaw and flower pot on his head went on a drunken chainsaw rampage in a gas station on Monday in Queensland, Australia.

It was around 4:30am when the robber entered the store wielding a chainsaw. The two clerks cleaning the coffee machine were terrified. After damaging a window and some display racks, he exposed his butt to the clerks. The clerks retreated to a back room and called the police. The robber damaged a parked car while fleeing the scene.

Police arrested the robber when he walking down a street near the gas station. It is alleged that the teenager wanted money, but he only took a softdrink and the stolen chainsaw when left the store.

The suspect, Steven Frank Steele, was later charged with armed robbery, wilful damage, being armed to cause fear, public nuisance and possessing suspected stolen property. The case was first heard yesterday. He will remain in custody until the case is heard again on March 3.
