Six people are missing after a boat traveling to the Philippines from Malaysia capsized in Tuhau, late on Saturday night.

According to the New Straits Times, the boat departed from Sandakan, Malaysia, on Thursday and was its way to the Philippines. After the weather turned bad, the passengers boarded a dinghy as they feared the boat was going to sink. The vessel flipped and sank in the rough sea. However, the emergency boat also capsized later, throwing all nine into the water.

The captain was discovered on a beach in Tambisan, the Philippines on Sunday afternoon, while two other crew members were found nearby shortly afterwards.
