A male teacher working in a public high school in Seto City Aichi Prefecture received a three month suspension for sending inappropriate texts to a female student over LINE. This morning, he handed in his resignation.

According to the school board, the teacher bought a smartphone in August and started texting her after he asked the victim to set up LINE for him. He sent creepy texts such as "I adore you" and "You look gorgeous." He sent 1,000 messages over one month. He also reportedly texted inappropriate messages, giving out the name of the pupils who failed tests. He was also in breach of confidentiality, as he leaked the information regarding the staff meeting.

The affair was exposed after the victim talked to her mother. The teacher claimed that he had feelings for the student and was also trying to avoid being lonely.
