Drunk test fail gets passengers barred from New Delhi metro: The subway in India's capital has so many train fights the police are breathalyzing people and turning away drunks.
In the hope of reducing anti-social behavior such as sexual harassment and fighting, a pilot program has begun at Rajiv Chowk station where Central Armed Police Force officers are breathalyzing suspect passengers. Drunks will receive a ticket with their name and blood alcohol reading.

Passengers deemed too intoxicated will be prevented from boarding the metro.
The metro authority hopes to eventually roll out the breath-testing scheme to all 134 stations in the New Delhi network.
Opinions on the measure are divided. Social activists such as Prince Singhal suggest it is likely to increase the number of road accidents as drunks will get behind the wheel, rather than attempt to ride the metro after a night out.
