In preparation for her role in Chalk n Duster, actress Shabana Azmi travelled by train to get first hand experience of the crowded local. The actress travelled from Andheri to Virar with her entourage on a weekend. She also chatted with her fellow commuters and learnt about their daily endeavours to reach work in time. The movie, based on education system, stars Juhi Chawla, Zarina Wahab, Divya Dutta in major roles along with Anupam Kher, Jackie Shroff, Sameer Soni and Arya Babbar in pivotal roles.
