Chile and China have signed a number of cooperation deals, including a multibillion USD currency swap. This comes as the two countries move to enhance their trade and financial ties. In a meeting between Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and President Michelle Bachelet, China agreed to grant a quota of US$8.1 billion to foreign institutional investors in the Latin American country.
