On Monday morning two Palestinian fishermen were shot and injured by the Israeli naval forces off the northern coast of the Gaza Strip. This is the latest Israeli violation of the agreed upon truce that was brokered by Egypt in late August 2014. An Israeli Army spokesperson claimed that the Navy fired on the boat after it went outside the established fishing zone, but the fishermen say they had gone no further than five nautical miles beyond the coastline. TeleSUR met with one of the fishermen who was injured. His wounds will not heal for another month and does not know how he will earn a living during that time to support his four children. He and his family question international silence over continued Israeli human rights violations. teleSUR.
