Former top FIFA official Chuck Blazer has told a US federal judge that he and other members of the executive committee accepted bribes to vote for South Africa to host the 2010 World Cup.

The admission came in a transcript released from a 2013 hearing in which Blazer agreed to plead guilty to racketeering and other charges.

The American also revealed that he accepted bribes for the 1998 World Cup in France.
