Sales of Maggi instant noodles have been suspended in parts of India for 15 days.

The product is a wildly popular one in the country and endorsed by a number of Bollywood stars. 

The temporary ban was put in place after testing performed in Delhi showed that 10 out of 13 packages contained limit-exceeding amounts of lead. 

Since the discovery, additional examinations have been ordered nationwide to determine the extent of the contamination.

Though the countrywide analysis isn’t complete and many states have yet to forward their results, Nestlé India has already denied that there is any such issue with their product.
