Can a member of the royal family fall in love with her guardian? Of course! The relationship between Suzaku Kururugi and Euphemia li Britannia is a complicated one. Suzaku, a childhood friend of series anti-hero Lelouch, falls in love with Euphemia, Lelouch's sister. Suzaku works through the ranks to become Euphemia's guardian, where she confesses her love for him as well. This does not bode well for Lelouch's plan, so the relationship is put to a sudden end with Euphemia's death by Lelouch's hands.

"Nisekoi" (2014)
These two are absolutely adorable together. The newest pairing on our list, Raku Ichijou and Kosaki Onodera are high school students in the romantic comedy world of Nisekoi. Kosaki has developed a strong relationship with our protagonist Raku, serving as his medic and treating his various wounds, both literally and figuratively. Kosaki is one of the few girls that outwardly confess her feelings to Raku, despite not being able to be together. Fans love this pairing, as many people are able to relate.

"Toradora!" (2008-09)
It’s amazing how much true love you find in middle-school. Ryuji Takasu and Taiga Aisaka, both protagonists in the Toradora! world, met by running into each other while attending Ohashi High School. What started out as a blackmail relationship over love letters, both Ryuji and Taiga have developed a significant bond over the course of the series.
