As I recover from a freak spring cold, I attempt the experiment of using a separate computer as an ARK password-protected server, while connecting my gaming rig to it to play the game in VR.
It turns out that the game performs MUCH better this way than in its built-in local mode which seems to tax performance insanely. Leaving the session management to another computer seems to help a lot!
Join me as I spawn on my own server for the first time, alone, and start building up the basics!
