Q&A - What makes a great photo - The Subject
So the last important ingredient in getting a great photo is the subject and in the case of weddings it’s mostly the people. So for me I put a great emphasis on having couples feel relaxed, feel comfortable, I really want them to be themselves and feel at ease, so I put a lot of emphasis on that. I think the best photos come when couples are just at ease and I’m able to capture just candid moments, nice interactions amongst them and have their personalities come through.
So I don’t want all my photos to be just stiff and posed where I can just insert anyone else’s head onto the photo and no one notice. I want each individual couples personalities and emotion to come through the photo and for me that’s what makes a great photo is the emotion, the feeling and the personality of the people of the subject
