Massive floods hit the Georgian capital Tbilisi and hit the city’s zoo, killing many animals, but setting dozens free. One zoo hippopotamus was escorted through Tbilisi by an entourage of citizens after being shot with a tranquilizing dart by Georgian special forces, who were ordered to track down the hippo and sedate it. Hippos are some of the most dangerous animals in their native Africa, killing upwards of 3,000 people per year.
