NOVI AKORDI was a rock band, formed in Zagreb (Croatia) in 1972. The first line-up was: Branko Požgajec (vocals, flute, keyboards), Halil Mekić (guitar), Vjekoslav Poldrugač-Wossh (bass) and Adonis Dokuzović (drums). Vjekoslav Poldrugač-Wossh was soon replaced by Željko Mikulčić. When Halil Mekić went to military service, Ismet Kurtović-Ićo (guitar, vocals, flute) was brought as a replacement, but he remained in a band after Halil Mekić returned. The band released their first single “Jedan pogled / Još te volim” in 1972, and the second, Opet… / Odlazak, in 1973. In July 1974, Adonis Dokuzović left the band (later he be became the drummer in Divlje Jagode) and was replaced by Boris Turina-Turko (ex-Crveni koralji and Zlatni akordi). In the autumn of 1974, Novi Akordi changed their name to "Drugi način". Different line-up of Novi Akordi, featuring Sed Lipovača (later in Divlje Jagode) on guitar and Radoslav Marjanović on vocals, released the single “Jesen stiže, otišle su laste / Škripi đeram” in 1975.
