Guatemala’s Supreme Court has denied President Otto Perez Molina an injunction granting the legal immunity he had requested from a congressional corruption probe. The leader is accused of being part of a corruption scandal that involves numerous public servants, including the country’s former Vice President Roxana Baldetti, who resigned last May amidst a corruption scandal. Last week the Supreme Court had ordered the investigation against Perez Molina and asked Congress to lift his presidential immunity. teleSUR
