Patita (A fallen woman) is a 1953 Hindi film produced and directed by Amiya Chakrabarty.The film stars Dev Anand, Usha Kiran, Agha and Lalita Pawar. The film's music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan. The film is well known specially for some very melodious and popular songs that include "Andhe Jahaan Ke" by Talat Mahmood, "Hai Sab Se Madhur Geet" by Talat Mahmood, "Kisi Ne Apna Bana Ke" by Lata Mangeshkar, "Mitti se Khelte Ho" by Lata Mangeshkar and the duet "Yaad Kiya Dil Ne Kahaan Ho Tum" by Hemant Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar.

Radha (Usha Kiran) earns a living by begging in order to support herself and her crippled and ailing father. They live in a small tenement, under the constant threat of eviction by their landlord for unpaid rent of several months. One day, while begging, Radha meets a young man, Nirmal Chander (Dev Anand), who would like to see her improve her status by getting employment. He even goes to the extent of assisting her find work in a mill. He subsequently invites her over to meet his mother, and asks her to marry him, to which she agrees. Nirmal also seeks the permission of her father. When he goes to get her to make arrangements for their marriage, he finds her and her dad are missing. His attempts to locate her are in vain. Then, after several months, he finds her living in a small broken hut with a young man named Mastram (Agha) and a child - she calls her own - but claims that she is unmarried.
