Journalist David Romero asked for refuge today after his supporters stormed the Honduras Supreme Court where he was to be sentenced for revealing government corruption and took him to a safe place. The Global TV reporter broke the story of the embezzlement of US$300 million from the Honduras Social Security Institute by the ruling National Party and President Juan Hernandez, among others.
