Pervez Mehdi was my school friend. I was in 9th & he was in 7th in Union Islamia High School, Gowalmandi, Lahore- Pakistan. He was a great artist after Mehdi Hassan, legend. He was recipient of Presidential Award- Sitara-e Imtiaz. He was like my family member. He died in 2005, when I was Controller/ Station Director, Radio Pakistan, Lahore.
