Drinks Made Easy Presents: How to make a "Traditional" Gin Martini. The Gin Martini, Unlike the "Classic" or Restaurant style Gin Martini video we did, is the Bartenders International Association's recognized recipe. This recipe includes:
1.5 oz of Gin
.5 oz of Dry Vermouth
To make this drink you will need the above and the following:
The above listed alcohols
A shaker and strainer
A chilled martini glass
An Olive Garnish (you can use a lemon twist)
In your shaker pour the 1.5 oz. of Gin (if you are using a pour spout that would be a 6 count). Next add the .5 oz. of Dry Vermouth and shake 10-15 times or until the shaker becomes ice cold. Strain your your Gin and Vermouth mixture into a chilled martini glass, garnish with your choice of olive or lemon twist and there you go. A traditional gin martini. If you want to make a "dirty" Martini simply add a generous dash of olive juice (from the jar of olives you are using).
ALWAYS DRINK RESPONSIBLY
