Peruvian forces rescued 39 persons from a hidden jungle camp run by Shining Path rebels. Some had been held by the insurgents for as long as three decades. The 13 women and 26 children had been used as slave labor and the women raped to produce offspring who would later become rebel soldiers. teleSUR
