Cara Delevingne defended by 'Paper Towns' author John Green after being mocked in an interview on 'Good Day Sacramento'.

The author of the book stood up for the actress despite her joking that she had "never read the book or the script" of the film.

On Wednesday, Cara told TV anchors: "No, I never read the book -- or the script, actually. I kind of winged it."

Writing on his blog John wrote: "Cara has read the book (multiple times), but the question is annoying”
