As PAS gears up for it's party polls, many speculate that there is a battle between the party's religious scholars and its professionals, which will determine the party's place in Malaysia's political landscape.

However, PAS central committee member Mujahid Yusof Rawa says such views are an oversimplification of what's really happening in the party.
