A researcher from the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries recently captured video of a great white shark’s failed attempt to catch a seal.

Dr. Greg Skomal of the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries recently captured video of a great white shark’s failed attempt to catch a seal. 

The predator was in hot pursuit of its prey off the coast of Cape Cod, and when the seal jumped into the air, the shark followed suit. 

It appears it was a narrow miss, but a big win for the would-be meal, nonetheless. 

The two were evenly matched in size,
