MBBS course in Philippines is 5 to 5 and half years in duration for those students who come with a background of having studied science for their higher secondary classes. This is followed by training in clinical rotation and core medicine for the following 4 years. The programme ends with clinical rotation and practical training by treating actual patients in nearby hospitals and clinics where an experienced doctor supervises their work. The first year or another half are spent by providing the student with a background in medicine and is known as the Bachelor of Science program.
