A fire in a private nursing home in Caracas, Venezuela late Sunday night left eight elderly patients dead. Firefighters rescued 30 others who were treated for smoke inhalation. Authorities charged that the nursing home was understaffed and some of its fire extinguishers were not working. teleSUR
