Thousands of activists demonstrated outside the National Diet Building in Tokyo on Sunday to protest recent changes in military legislation. Demonstrators protested against the changes, introduced by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, that would facilitate the expansion of Japan's military presence and allow overseas deployment for the first time since WWII.
