In Hungary, hundreds of refugee continued crossing from Serbia on Thursday. They were heading for a makeshift camp which has been home to thousands of refugees under the watchful eye of Hungarian police.
On Thursday morning Hungarian authorities cleared people from the open cornfield near the border with Serbia.
Buses waited to take them to an official transit camp nearby.
Most fear registering for asylum in Hungary will prevent them from leaving for the wealthier Germany.
“To be frank, to tell you, I don’t know whether to go for the [finger] printing, the regular way, or find – or go to the dark side,” said one Syrian refugee.
Around 150 people were left at the makeshift camp on Thursday with food provided by kind volunteers.
Police said those collected by buses were headed to the city of Gyor, 300 kilometers to the north, where they will be registered for asylum.
