An amusing video has emerged of a man getting hit by a "flying drone fairy" while trying to film his daughter playing with the device.

The footage, captured in Saskatchewan, Canada, on Wednesday, shows the toy - which is supposed to hover in the air - suddenly changing direction and darting towards the filmer.

"Our kid got a little flying drone fairy for her birthday," he said.

"After getting stuck in its launch pad (which irritated our kid) it decided to attack me."
