Some 200 angry protesters today gathered at the Sri Lankan High Commission in Kuala Lumpur to show their disgust over the ongoing civil strife in the island which was killing thousands of innocent civilians.
The protesters called for the world leaders, including the Malaysian government, to end the Sri Lankan war between the Sinhala government and the Tamil Tigers.
And to add symbolism to their protest, the protesters brought a coffin to signify the loss of nearly 1,700 civilian lives in the conflict zone.
