Footage has emerged of a powerful sandstorm hitting the Saudi city of Jeddah last week.

The video, uploaded on Saturday, shows the huge mass of sand battering a busy road in the coastal city, reducing visibility.

Sandstorms are relatively common in Jeddah and they can disrupt the transport infrastructure. However, on this occasion it is believed there was minimal disruption.
