California Wildfire Consumes Town, Triggers State of Emergency

A wildfire in California consumed a town overnight and prompted the governor to issue a state of emergency. The Valley Fire started on September 12 and exploded to 40,000 acres by the morning on September 13. Mandatory evacuations were put into place, and the town of Middletown was devastated by the fire. This footage shows the fire burning overnight in the community.

Four firefighters suffered second-degree burns and were taken to UC Davis Medical where they were in stable condition.
