A joint venture has been entered by a group of Chinese firms and the U.S.-based company XpressWest to build a high-speed train that would link Las Vegas to the Los Angeles area.

U.S. based XpressWest and China Railway International USA, a group comprised of numerous Chinese firms, have agreed to form a joint venture to embark on the project.
While some officials are claiming that the line is expected to be around 230-miles long to link Los Angeles to Las Vegas, the XpressWest website notes that the Southern California location they have chosen is the town of Victorville
