Putin made his first speech to the UN HQ in New York City in 10 years. He spoke about the rule of law vs. the rule of the strong, how the global export of ‘so-called democratic revolutions’ has wreaked chaos, how NATO keeps on expanding despite the collapse of the USSR having been long ago, and how Russia envisages world powers uniting under international law in the future, to jointly fight terrorism and ISIS forces.

He also laid out a plan for a Syria settlement involving all sides ... including Assad ... an idea that was initially met with opposition from the West. But over time, it appears to slowly be making its way into politicians' minds.
