In the backdrop of depletion of non-renewable energy resources, meeting the increased demand for energy has become an issue of concern for both the developed and underdeveloped countries. According to the World Bank Report 2011, 21.8% of the population had no access to energy, which is considered the backbone of progress and prosperity.
