A cute video has emerged from Chicago, USA of a squirrel carrying a slice of pizza up a tree.

The footage, captured by an amused bystander, shows the grey squirrel hauling the slice - almost the size of its body - up the tree to consume.

"Chicago's response to New York's Pizza Rat - this is Pizza Squirrel. On a quiet street near Wrigley Field, a squirrel took a full slice of pepperoni pizza and actually climbed up into a tree to consume its delicious find," the filmer wrote online
