An impressive video of a great white shark, filmed from the safety of an underwater cage, showing off and speeding to the surface to jump out of the ocean.

The footage, filmed off Guadalupe Island, Mexico at the end of September, shows the powerful predator gently swimming underneath the shark cage with another shark before accelerating rapidly to the surface and leaping out.

An incredible sound can be heard when the shark's body crashes back into the sea.

The filmer later wrote online: "The strength and beauty of the animal to accelerate for the breach is amazing."
