Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield, who starred in two Spider-Man movies together, have split after almost four years of dating, a person close to the couple confirms to USA TODAY.
The couple has been plagued with break-up rumors over the last year, and both had competing schedules.
Garfield spent five months in Taiwan shooting Martin Scorsese's film, Silence, while Stone has been busy working on La La Land in Los Angeles with Ryan Gosling.
Garfield and Stone met on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man in 2011, he cast as Peter Parker and she as Gwen Stacy.
A tornado of press commitments followed, and the two seemed to make the most of it as a couple, charming fans and late night talk show hosts while managing to keep mum about their relationship.
