The relationship between Turkey and Pakistan is centuries old and both countries share a common history and culture. The people of both countries love each other and there is a common desire to pursue better ties. During every trial and tribulation, the people of both countries have helped each other. When the Ottoman Empire was at its decline and needed support, Muslims of the Indian Sub-Continent went to Turkey to fight alongside the Turks while the women donated their jewelry to raise funds.
During the 2005 Earthquake in Pakistan and 2010 & 2011 floods in Pakistan, Turkey was the first to come to Pakistan's support.
Turkey's initiatives to help Afghanistan and bring peace in the Istanbul process is bearing fruit.
